onselect event (Combo Box)

The onselect event for combo boxes activates when a selection is made from the combo choices.  The event should be specified as a JavaScript expression.  The expression may use the following two special variables:

  • value - the value selected by the user

  • text - the choice text of the option selected by the user

  • object - reference to the DOM container object for the combo box

Example:

onselect: processSelection(value);

function processSelection(value) { alert("You selected this value: " + value); }
