Custom Widget Development

Profound UI comes with many prebuilt widgets, or components, that can be utilized within your applications.  These widgets are accessible from the Visual Designer tool while working on Rich Display Files or in Genie.

While these widgets should meet most of your application development needs, it may sometimes be necessary to create your own custom widgets or extend the functionality of existing widgets.  This section explains how custom widgets are created and integrated into the Visual Designer using JavaScript code.

It is also possible, and in many instances may be easier, to create custom widgets using the Widget Sets capability of Profound UI.
