Content Freeze

As of July 25th, 2023, there is a content freeze on this page.

Before compiling your Profound UI program, you must ensure that the RPG compiler is set up to compile Profound UI programs. 

  1. If you have IBM i 6.1 or 7.1, you will need to install PTFs to enable Open Access support.   (For 7.2 and higher, this is not needed, as Open Access is built-in to the RPG compiler.)

  2. You must add the following keyword to the F spec declaration in your code: HANDLER(‘PROFOUNDUI(HANDLER)’).  This tells RPG to use Profound UI's Rich Display handler to run your displays.
