Install Profound UI on IBM i

Profound UI is not required by Profound.js 7, but Profound.js can integrate with it. Skip this page if you are not using Profound UI.

Overview

Profound.js can integrate with a separate or existing Profound UI instance. When it does, the Profound.js installer prompts for the Profound UI document root directory and installation library, and stores them as the staticFilesDirectory and profounduiLibrary configuration options.

Installation Steps

  1. Download Profound UI from the following URL: https://www.profoundlogic.com/download-profound-appdev/;

  2. Follow the Profound UI installation instructions;

  3. Apply a Profound UI key. A trial key can be requested through the Profound Logic web site immediately after installation. The same trial key includes both a Profound UI and a Profound.js trial license.

There are no special requirements for the Profound UI installation in this case – a standard Profound UI instance can be integrated with your Profound.js instance.
