Allowing Connections in Windows Firewall

When starting the Profound.js server on Windows, a prompt to allow connections in Windows Firewall may appear:

Click 'Allow access' to confirm, otherwise connections from another host on the network (such as IBM i) will be blocked. If the prompt does not appear, or if you clicked Cancel, the setting can be adjusted in the Windows Control Panel:

To adjust the settings, click the Change Settings button as shown above. Then find the entry for Node.js and check the box for the desired network types. If Node.js does not appear in the list, click the Allow Another App button and browse to the Node.js executable. The default location is c:\program files\nodejs\node.exe.

The Windows Firewall settings may be restricted on your PC. If that is the case, contact your Windows / network admin to adjust the settings.
