The Declaration/Initialization API contains the Profound.js APIs used to declare strongly typed fields, arrays, and data structures, and to set those definitions back to a default or initial value. These APIs are the Profound.js equivalents of the RPG declaration and initialization operations.

The APIs in this section fall into two groups:

• Declaration - Used to declare a field, an array, or a data structure with a strong data type; for example, pjs.define().

• Initialization - Used to set an existing definition back to a value; for example, pjs.clear() sets a definition to the default value for its data type, and pjs.reset() sets it back to its initial value.
