This reserved word returns the current date as an 8 digit number in MMDDYYYY format.

Example

pjs.define("myDate", { type: 'packed decimal', length: 8, decimals: 0 }) myDate = _date; // If the current date is May 8th, 2018, myDate will hold the value 5082018
