Content Freeze

As of July 25th, 2023, there is a content freeze on this page.

To remove a product instance, select the product record in the Instances list and click Remove:

On the next panel, enter the SSH user and password (for remote installations) and select which components to remove:

There are 3 options for product removal:

  • Remove from instances list only: This option simply removes the record of the product installation from Profound Installer’s data file. This option does not do anything to the product installation on the target system.

  • Remove from instances list and uninstall product: This option does the same as above, plus uninstalls the product by running npm uninstall within the product installation directory. This option will not remove any other contents of the installation directory.

  • Remove item from instances list, uninstall product, remove installation directory and all contents: This option does the same as above, plus completely removes the product installation directory and all contents.

Click Remove after making your selection. You’ll be prompted for confirmation:

Depending on the product, product version, and target platform, you may see a second confirmation prompt for removing additional components associated with the product installation:

Review the additional components and click Yes if you want to proceed.

If the upgrade is successful, you’ll be returned to the instances list. Otherwise, you’ll be able to view a detailed removal log. If the problem/solution are not obvious from viewing the log, please open a ticket with Profound Logic technical support and attach the removal log.
