Instance Management Tools
To assist you in managing your Profound UI instances, we provide the following tools.
Note: An "instance" is one copy of Profound UI installed on a machine. You can potentially install multiple instances of Profound UI on the same IBM i server (or LPAR). Each instance includes a library, an HTTP server, and several IFS directories. Each instance can be configured and customized separately, and each can run a different version of Profound UI if desired. Customers often use a separate instance as a test environment, or to support different languages, etc.
The instance management tools first appeared in Profound UI Version 5, Fix Pack 4.0.
